Globally, one in three adults has multiple chronic conditions (MCC). This work was conducted to quantify the health, economic, and personal burden of Multiple Chronic Conditions and to define potential areas for innovation and interventions to reduce its impact.
Utilising both quantitative and qualitative analyses, we identify the major obstacles, natural history, clustering patterns and cost burden from the commonest disease clusters.
This White Paper was presented at the World Economic Forum Impact Meeting of the UN General Assembly and was co-authored alongside Dr Derek Yach.
